About this event

Topic: Controllers are a critical component of the fire pump package. We will review controller basics, NFPA requirements, general knowledge and safety considerations. In addition, the presentation will discuss the latest technology advancement in Cloud-based remote monitoring. 

Bio: 
Charles McDonald, President of Flotronix Corporation. Flotronix has been in business since 1987 and specialized in Fire Pump Controllers since its inception.  Most recently diversifying into new technologies for Domestic Water which include Booster Pumps, Heat Pump Water Heaters and Water Filtration Systems. Charles spent 15 years in the Oil, Gas, & Chemical industry working for GC’s and Owners. He worked projects from conception to commissioning which included building, expanding or maintaining anything from Off-shore platforms to On-shore production facilities.  Projects ranged from Canada and through-out the United States. Charles left the OGC market and worked for a private development company in Indiana facilitating Multi-family projects and Commercial spaces for a few years, then started working at Flotronix to diversify the company and eventually acquired the company from the original owner.

Ryan McKay is the Digital Sales Specialist on the FireConnect Digital Innovation Team at Peerless Pump, bringing nearly a decade of supply chain experience to the company’s smart technology initiatives. He partners with District Sales Managers and key accounts to advance Smart Connected Fire Pump adoption and enhance the customer digital experience. Ryan is passionate about emerging technologies and delivering practical, high-value solutions that drive safety, efficiency, and innovation across the fire protection industry.
