The Tri-State Cincinnati Chapter is a chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE), the world's oldest and largest organization dedicated to strengthening the fire protection engineers profession and advancing the science of fire protection. Established in 1950 and incorporated as a not-for-profit membership organization in 1971, SFPE is the world's leading professional Society representing those practicing in fire protection and fire safety engineering. The Society has nearly 5000 members and over 100 chapters worldwide, including 20 student chapters. SFPE also encourages a comprehensive education for fire protection engineers and continuing on-the-job training.
